Switch to the best YouTubers and say goodbye to CNN & MSNBC
After Trump's surprising and utterly dismal victory, the liberal camp was in shock, and this shock led us to a bag full of reflection. Nothing makes you reflect more when you think you are the only one who aced the test, only to find out you're the only one who got an "F."Â Our only hope now is to guess our only hope.
But in great part, the reason for our stunning defeat, or at least what made us so confused to believe we had it in the bag, was the echo chamber of liberal corporate media in which we reside 24/7. It worked like a drug, making us think we were so awesome, but we failed to see our chicken coop was filled to the rim with hungry wolves.
After the stunning defeat, Kamala Harris's liberal and semi-progressive ballads turned into an embarrassing kumbaya festival of errors. Then, we realized how outside the mark we were all along. But that is good news for the future; keep reading.
Immediately after the victory shamefully handed to Mr. Trump and his pantheon of incompetent conspiracy theorists, mind-altering brain-filled worms, the liberal media found itself in cricketland. Zere viewers, that is, no one turned to MSNBC or CNN because they didn't want to hear one more echo-chambered word, realizing that everything up to that point had been a deception. It all came crashing down in a few depressive minutes.
But why such a revelation? Was it because corporate media is paid by, you guessed right, corporations? Of course, but that's too elementary, and you already know that. Another more important reason is that these are not conventional times at all.
We are no longer in standard, normal territory. This can be evidenced by the fact that "the American people have elected a convicted criminal for president." (let that sink in for a moment). The corporate liberal media format no longer does the trick. We need media that unite, give meaning, stir things up, and make your blood boil. If all of a sudden, they seem so lame and outdated, it is because they are lame and outdated.
They have their hands tied. They must keep things normal, or they will lose their jobs. They must normalize everything, including, for example, making Donald J. Trump Times magazine the Man of the Year, which is symbolic of how out of touch and cowardly liberal media has become.
No wonder CNN and MSNBC are losing their viewers. Everyone is media savvy, and most people have discovered YouTubers. Switching back and forth from corporate media to YouTubers only takes a few seconds to notice how fresh YouTube podcasts can be. Â
We don't need to think only outside the box at the moment; we need to be outside the box entirely.Â
They are a group of young, idealistic, and brave guys out there who are doing real journalism. And yes, some of them are on the fringe, but a little bit of fringe is what we need right now. We need inspiration and to be connected to others on a personal and grassroots level, something the Corporate Liberal media cannot do to save their lives.
These guys are out there digging the news, interviewing people, traveling places, and presenting their ideas in a new, fresh way. Let's support them.
The other main problem with Corporate media is that it is mainly entertainment. It seldom stays focused on the same issue for long enough. It keeps moving around, presenting a bit of everything as a bate to its entertainment production values, and that simply doesn't work anymore. The issues are too urgent to be treated so lightly. YouTubers provide an in-depth look into matters that they follow day in and day out religiously because their focus is on the issues and not entertainment.
YouTubers have stayed with the issues for a long time, almost as if they have dedicated their lives to them.
Take, for instance, the assassination of CEO Brian Thompson. These guys are talking about it day in and day out, digging up more and more facts, but not only facts. They present their unbiased insights, and that is refreshing.
Their opinions are interesting because they are honest opinions that are not tied up with advertisers. Their influence is so evident that corporate media have occasionally invited them in for interviews and to be part of the panel.
Once you begin to watch these shows, the algorithms will keep sending new ones to you. A reader just suggested another interesting channel, and I’ve added it to the end of the line. Please feel free to send me your suggestions so I can add them to our list!
Another great advantage of watching these YouTubers is that you become an active viewer. You can watch the subjects you’re most interested in and not just sit in front of the tube and passively take anything corporate media throws at you.
